Kálmán Záborszky grew up in a family of musicians; his father was the conductor and composer József Záborszky. His musical career began at an early age: he started his cello studies under the guidance of Miklós Zsámboki and later earned his diploma at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. He studied with outstanding teachers such as Frigyes Sándor, András Mihály, and Antal Friss.
